Create a brief video essay in YouTube. Ensure that the audio and video are clear, and your face is visible.

Deadline December 1, 2021.

Your video must be four minutes or less and answer the following questions:

  • How do you expect the JMU MOT program to help you achieve your career goals?
  • What are ways you will use your strengths to fulfill the AOTA Vision 2025?
  • How would you communicate with team members who fall behind in a collaborative group project?

After recording and reviewing the video, choose the UNLISTED setting (do not use the public or private setting) and share the link to your video by email to Please do not choose the public setting. View more information about YouTube settings.

Apply through the Occupational Therapy Centralized Application Service (OTCAS) and choose JMU MOT Program.

Deadline December 1, 2021.

Apply to the Occupational Therapy Centralized Application Service (OTCAS) pay required fees, and select the JMU Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT) Program.

OTCAS offers a limited number of Application Fee Waivers. For future information about these waivers please visit OTCAS Application Fees.

Your application must be verified by OTCAS by January 10, 2022. For more information about verification visit OTCAS.

Enter/upload the following information in the My Application page, this information will be accessible to all programs in OTCAS. When entering information, be advised that

  • OTCAS requires email addresses of three individuals who will be completing references. References should be from individuals with whom applicants have had contact for sustained periods, such as university professors, employers/supervisors, health care professionals, and others. Recommendations from friends or family members are discouraged.
  • The JMU MOT Program will review the applicant’s OTCAS personal statement.

After you select the JMU MOT Program, upload a PDF copy of your JMU Graduate School application in the program-specific documents section. Please note that JMU MOT Program Observation Hour Verification Forms are not required for the 2021-22 application cycle.
